How can OT help my child?

Occupational Therapy can help your child learn how to THRIVE!

  • Does your child appear to have difficulty holding a bottle, feeding self, clapping, or playing with toys age appropriately?

  • Does your child appear to dislike playing/touching different textures, constantly need to touch or push, avoid/get upset with loud noises, appear clumsy, or appear to have a high energy level?

  • Does your child have difficulty interacting/playing with peers, is easily frustrated, or have difficulty calming self?

  • Does your child have difficulty with handwriting, difficulty with dressing, or get frustrated/avoid coloring?

Occupational Therapy works on all these areas within their scope of practice. Occupational therapists help children learn how to independently live their best lives. The best part is Occupational Therapy is able to accomplish this through creating playful activities for children. Each session is tailored with the child's therapist to their specific strengths and weaknesses.
